Grow Asia's #GrowHer Program

Updated: Mar 17

🚀 Latest from Grow Asia's #GrowHer program: we are officially starting the Training of Trainers portion of the #AGREE initiative!

🌿 AGREE is a research project funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and implemented by Grow Asia through our country chapters in the Philippines, Cambodia, and Vietnam. After completing value-chain-specific research, our AGREE project is now training women agripreneurs who will go on to become trainers on climate-smart farming techniques. Using a 'training of trainers' approach, our community partners will pass on their newfound knowledge to reach even more smallholder farmers. This is essential to ensure the long-term impact of knowledge exchange and enhance local adaptation to changing environments.

🇵🇭 Starting with the Philipines, our Country Chapter in the Philippines, Philippines Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture (PPSA) is training 33 women agripreneurs in the corn sector on Climate-Smart Approaches to Water Management, and Integrated Nutrient and Pest Management. We thank our partners at East-West Seed Foundation Philippines, Isabela State University, and Harbest Agribusiness Corporation for sharing insights into farm planning and climate-conscious farming practices that will support our women farmers deliver on climate action.
